Another Stupid Mistake?

Lately, in the news, we have been hearing about the idea of attacking Iran in order to prevent them from developing an atomic bomb. At first there was much talk about Israel being the one to attack Iran but that idea died when Israel indicated that it was really not capable of doing the job because Iran has very modern and a highly sophisticated air defense system and Israel believes that the U. S. should do the job.  Although Bush and his echo Cheney have indicated a keen interest in doing this most of our military experts are against the idea.

One can only hope that for once Bush will pay attention to what our experts say and avoid another stupid mistake.

The wars Bush has gotten us into in the mid-east are now costing us over twelve billion dollars a month with no end in sight. A war with Iran would be far more expensive and result in thousands of more American lives for Iran is not a helpless country like Iraq,  but has around a million highly trained troops and an arsenal of the most modern weapons plus the support of both China and Russia.  An attack on Iran carries with it the risk of WWIII.

We can only hope that in the last days of this administration they do not commit yet another stupid mistake in the mid-east.
