Early Summer?

We are being treated within the mountain shadows with the symptoms of an early summer.

First is the profusion of golden California poppies splattered across the hillsides and bouncing alongside our roadways.  Then, of course, the redbud bushes have exploded with their usual delightful colors. Then as a
pièce de résistance, roses of many colors have burst forth in yards and over fences all over Mariposa.  The Senior Center has a number of spectaclarlar rose bushes boasting colors from deep scarlet to an almost luminous white. All around Mariposa roses are blooming signaling an early summer and promising many flowers within the coming months.  Additionally the hills are flooded with every conceivable kind of wild flower.

Yes indeed, living within the mountain shadows always provides one with constant ever changing scenes of loveliness.  Those of us who live here are fortunate indeed.
