At the September meeting of the Mariposa Democratic Club, the club debated the propositions that will be on November’s ballot and are recommending the following positions:

Prop 1A – Passenger Train Act – Yes

Prop 2 – Treatment of Farm Animals – Yes

Prop 3 – Children’s Hospital Bond Act – Yes

Prop 4 – Waiting period and parental notification before termination of a minor’s pregnancy – No

Prop 5- Nonviolent Offenders Sentencing and Rehabilitation – Yes

Prop 6 – Criminal Penalties and laws – No

Prop 7 – Renewable Energy – No

Prop 8 – Limit on Marriage – No

Prop 9 – Criminal Justice System Victim Rights – No

Prop 10 – Alternative Fuel Bonds – Neutral

Prop 11 – Redistricting – No

Prop 12 – Veterans’ Bond – Yes
