The exercise was a success in large part due to participation of multiple people and agencies including NPS Rangers, YNP Fire, NPS Communications, Yosemite Medical Clinic, Yosemite Search and Rescue, Yosemite Safety Office, all participating Yosemite National Park Staff, Mariposa County Fire Department, Mariposa County Sheriff’s Department, Mariposa County Sheriff’s SCOPE, Mariposa County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue, CAL FIRE, Mercy Ambulance Service, Sierra Ambulance Service, Rigg’s Ambulance Service, Tuolumne Ambulance Service, Tuolumne County Health Department, Mariposa County Unified School District, Cal EMA, Mountain Valley EMS Agency, CHP, Medi-Flight, PHI Air Medical, Mariposa, El Portal and Yosemite Community Members, and many more individuals. The Event Coordinators particularly wish to thank the Mariposa High School Grizzly Fire Department, the Mariposa High School Drama Students, the MCUSD Transportation personnel, Columbia College EMT Students, the Wilderness Medical Institute, and additional community volunteers for their excellent portrayal of traumatically injured patients, bystanders, and concerned family members. Also, a special thanks to the Mariposa SPCA for donating the trauma victims’ clothing. We are better prepared in Mariposa County for such an incident thanks to the help from all the volunteers, responders, and participants. Thank You.
