March 17, 2018 - Mariposa County High School students interested in science and engineering enjoyed a day at UC Merced on March 13, 2018. They participated in lab tours arranged by the MCHS Academic Boosters Club.

ABC made arrangements with 16 different UC Merced scientists to visit their labs. Students ranked their interest in the various labs ahead of time and were scheduled to see three to four of them, accordingly. Yosemite Bank donated $500 toward the cost of the trip. Pathos Screen Printing printed t-shirts.

Students enjoyed their day at UC Merced, touring the labs and participating in hands-on activities with UC staff. The goal was to inspire students to continue their studies into fields related to science and engineering.

ABC is planning for the Lab Tours to be an annual event for high school students.
