Obituary: Marc Cutter

Passing Of Marc Cutter Is Felt By Many

Marc-Cutter-Marc Cutter, born November 30, 1946 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 5, 2011 in Fresno, CA. Marc was raised in Burbank and moved to Mariposa in 2005. He is survived by his wife Karen, of Mariposa, daughters Crystal Bryan (David) of Torrington, WY and Jennifer Perales (Larry) of Lake Havasu, AZ and sister Carol Finkle of Burbank. He leaves three grandsons, Jonathan Bryan, Jesse Cutter, Christopher Smith, and granddaughter Ashley Bryan.

Marc graduated from Burbank High School in 1964 and became a building inspector and general contractor in Burbank. As a community activist and decorated Vietnam Veteran, he was active with the Burbank Veterans Commemorative Committee and developed Hands Across the Battlefield which has shipped over 40 tons of health and comfort items to service members all over the world. In addition to being an avid sports fan, one of his favorite pastimes was helping out as Santa for many local charities and community groups. Heaven must have needed another Santa this month.

There will be a memorial service on Sunday, December 18 at 1:00 p.m. at the McCambridge Park War Memorials located at Amherst and San Fernando Road in Burbank.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marc’s name to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund to build a new educational center near the Vietnam Wall, 2600 Virginia Ave., NW, Suite 104, Washington, DC 20037.

Donations can also be made through their website at: http://www.vmf.org/.
