Help Wanted – Bookkeeper
The Mariposa Museum and History Center is accepting applications for a part-time Bookkeeper. The position is available immediately.
Hours are Monday - Wednesday 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
Knowledge of QuickBooks and Payroll Systems, and non-profit laws required. Must be generally proficient with computers and have experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Publisher, and Word. Experience with money-handling in a retail environment and POS systems are desired. Duties include general bookkeeping duties, accounts payable/receivable, preparation of tax information for accounting firm including scheduled reports. Other duties include data processing, maintenance of membership records, daily office tasks, telephone and email correspondence, and other administrative duties as assigned by the office administrator and board of directors.
The ideal candidate will be organized and friendly with strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task well and work with a wide variety of people is a must. Applicants must be willing to undergo a criminal background check and credit screening.
