The 15th Annual Sierra Art Trails is Coming!
Friday, September 29th through Sunday, October 1st, 2017
The Sierra Art Trails Yosemite Foothills Open Studio Tour takes place in homes, studios, galleries, and businesses in more than a dozen communities in Eastern Madera and Mariposa Counties from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day.
The show is the largest and most anticipated arts event in the area, featuring artists and artisans working in a wide range of media including painting, photography, jewelry, sculpture, fiber arts, woodcarving, ceramics, glass, mixed media, and more.
“For a few weeks, we put down our chain saws, ...and let our cattle roam while we celebrate the artists and artisans that paint, sculpt, and whittle their way into our hearts!” Jon Bock, President, Sierra Art Trails.
*Note: This year’s preview exhibit is now open, and will run through October 1, 2017 at the Stellar Gallery.
Opening reception has been postponed due to area fires, and will be announced at a later date.
The 2017 Art Trails Catalog is your “Ticket for Two”.
The catalog is a collectible, full color publication that includes articles, special features, artist listings and detailed maps that guide visitors to the various Art Trails locations. This year’s 15th Anniversary catalog features cover art by printmaker Monique Wales. Catalogues are on sale for only $20 and are available online, in Mariposa at the Visitors Center, Mariposa County Arts Council, and Casto Oaks Fine Wine & Art.
