Miniatures in Mariposa

The Sierra Artists’ Gallery and Northern California Society of Miniature Art are sponsoring this premier event Monday, March 20th to Sunday, April 2nd, 2017 in Mariposa. It is designated the “The Elizabeth Specht Memorial Miniature Show” in honor of her long association and dedication in bringing this art form to our community. The Gallery continues this tradition of welcoming artists from across the United States and beyond for a truly unique international exhibit.

A prospectus and application can be acquired from the gallery or website, SierraArtistsGallery.comEntries are due March 10th to 12th at the gallery.

One of the charms is using a magnifying glass in viewing these miniature masterpieces that cannot exceed 25 square inches.  This is a unique experience for the artisan and enjoyed by the viewer.

In addition, the Gallery has openings for membership as a Miniature Artist. If you are an artist that would like an opportunity to show and sell your art, contact the chairperson, Anne Mahle, at 559-683-6889 or call the Gallery, 209-966-2284 for complete information.

Come visit the Gallery on the corner of Hwy. 140 and 6th St. Thursday-Monday, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The community is invited to the Artist Awards Reception on Sunday, April 2nd, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
