One unanswered question in the latest email turmoil is how those emails got onto Mr. Anthony Weiner’s computer. A likely explanation is an automatic backup from his wife’s computer. That would make them copies of emails that the FBI has already examined on Huma Abedin’s computer. Of course this is all speculation since FBI Director Comey has no real information to offer. That doesn’t stop Trump from proclaiming that we’ve caught Clinton again.

Richard W. Painter, who was Chief White House Ethics Lawyer for George W. Bush from 2005 to 2007 has filed complaints about James Comey. The complaints are based on the Hatch Act, which bars the use of an official position to influence an election and on FBI procedures that bans public discussion of ongoing investigations.

I expect to hear of Mr. Comey’s resignation in the coming months.
