I would like for those in District 3 to vote for Kris Casto.  I have known her for almost 10 years now.  She is a doer with a background in local government that can’t be beat.  She will not let the grass grow under her feet.  Being in Rotary with her for many years I have watched her take on some really large events and with her guidance and leadership, these events have produced much funding that was then relayed back into our community here in Mariposa.

Her first concern is public safety wanting to fully staff the Sheriff Department and Fire Department, especially in the area of volunteers.

She is especially concerned with the Williamson Act and has dedicated herself to protecting agriculture and ranching to retain open space and to assist them in developing strategies of stewardship.  She fully supports the Williamson Act.

She understands that our local budget is a direct result of tourism and wants to partner with YNP, the Chamber, and the Tourism Bureau to provide for our visitors to our community the best experience that is affordable.

She also understands the importance of having home based businesses with growth potential come into community to provide job opportunities for our children.  She has worked as advisor to our high school Interact Club here in Mariposa who are very concerned with job opportunities.

Having worked with her on many projects, I really believe that Kris will do an excellent job as supervisor to District Three.
