Dear Editor,

An affront to all Mariposans occurred Feb. 21 at the Constituents' Town Hall meeting at our fairgrounds:  The tires of four participants were slashed by vandals.  In addition, the windows of another neighbor were broken because this individual has the courage to display views on his property that others disliked.  This kind of criminal violence against our fellow citizens should not be tolerated by anyone—ever.

Progressive Mariposa, a non-partisan organization of concerned Mariposa citizens, is offering a reward of $500.00 for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of those who slashed the tires/ broke the windows of our local friends and neighbors. If you have additional information regarding these shameful acts please step up and do your duty as a responsible citizen. Please report what you know about these events to the California Highway Patrol and the Mariposa County’s Sheriff Department.
