June 23, 2017 - Stanislaus/Mariposa County – Caltrans has completed a project that adds centerline and edgeline rumble strips to 41 miles of State Route 132 (SR-132) in Stanislaus and Mariposa counties. Work was performed at the following caltrans rumble strips in mariposa countylocations:

• In Stanislaus County, from the San Joaquin County line to Carpenter Road; from Leek Road to Eucalyptus Avenue; from east of Skyline Boulevard to east of La Grange Road; and from Floro Street to the Tuolumne County line;

• In Mariposa County, from east of Coulterville Road to Horseshoe Bend.

Central Striping Services of Rancho Cordova performed the work for $743,000.

Rumble strips are designed to alert drivers when their vehicles leave their traffic lane. As tires pass over the rumble strips, drivers can hear the noise and feel the vibration produced by these rumble strips. These strips are ground into the pavement surface.

For the safety of workers and other motorists, please Slow for the Cone Zone.
