June 26, 2017 - WASHINGTON – The United States Mint (Mint) will accept orders for the 2017 American Eagle One Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin (product code 17EG) on June 29 at noon Eastern Time (ET).
The American Eagle One Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin is a collector version of the Mint’s American Eagle Silver Bullion Coin. Struck at the West Point Mint, its obverse (heads) features Adolph A. Weinman’s full-length figure of Liberty in full stride, enveloped in folds of the flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left. Inscriptions are “LIBERTY,” “2017,” and “IN GOD WE TRUST.”The reverse (tails) features a heraldic eagle with shield, an olive branch in the right talon and arrows in the left, with the inscriptions “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “1 OZ. FINE SILVER – ONE DOLLAR.”
Each coin is encapsulated and packaged in a blue presentation box with a Certificate of Authenticity.
