The project will construct new accessible curb ramps, sidewalks, curbs and gutters and widen the shoulder at the intersection of SR-49 and SR-140. The project will also add approximately 80 feet of sidewalk and construct two accessible curb ramps along SR-140 at the intersection of Coakley Circle.

Preliminary work is underway at the site to relocate utilities while the actual construction is scheduled to start July 17, 2017. The project is scheduled to be completed in October, 2017.

Work is scheduled Mondays through Fridays, from 6:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Work will be done with one-way traffic control, and drivers should plan for 10-minute delays and seek alternative routes.

This project is one part of a $1.4 million contract that has been awarded to George Reed, Inc. The other project site is located in Calaveras County.

Construction is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials and construction related issues.
