August 9, 2017 - “Wool” be having fun this Saturday, August 12 at the Mariposa Library’s Green S.T.E.A.M. Makerspace “Fun with Fiber” workshop starting at 10:00 a.m. in the meeting room. Try carding, spinning and felting wool and weaving or crocheting worn-out T-shirts into coasters, potholders or placemats.
The program will be followed by “Sing,” the animated film about an optimistic koala who tries to save a failing theater by sponsoring the world’s most amazing singing competition.
Both the morning activities and the movie are free of charge. The movie also includes a free bag of popcorn. Movie goers are invited to bring a lunch and a blanket to sit on.
All ages are welcome. Children 9 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited and registration is required for the workshop. Call 209-966-2140 or stop by the library to register. No registration is necessary for the movie.
