Music on the Green, brought to you by The Mariposa County Arts Council and many fine sponsors, presents the second-to-last weekend of the 2017 season of free concerts with the Jeffrey Kile Revue on Friday, August 18, and Bootstrap Circus on Saturday, August 19.

Jeffrey Kile Revue 1

Jeffrey Kile has been a music fixture in Mariposa for decades, known for leading The Rhythmaddix – a staple of past Music on the Green shows – and maybe just as much as the former owner of Grace Note Chimes, manufacturing wind chimes known the world over for their meticulous tuning that produced ethereal chords. On a recent sabbatical in India, Kile shared his rootsy singing, harmonica and guitar playing with local Indian musicians hungry to learn the Blues and Folk forms of Americana music, giving his rhythm and blues a fresh approach. For this one-off performance of these real American art  – both original and covered - Kile will be joined by long time, local and out-of-town collaboraters, making it a true revue.

Bootstrap Circus, previously known as the Adam Burns Band, is no stranger to local Sierra music lovers. Famous for their exciting live shows and brilliant recordings, this eclectic band performs their dynamic original songs mixing pop, rock, ska, world beat and Eastern European influences that have made them a traditional Music on the Green favorite, drawing record breaking crowds every year. Their latest recording and other CD titles will be available at the show, and concert goers can expect to see some special guests sitting in as well on this special evening. Visit the Bootstrap Circus website and Facebook page for more information.
