Cousin Jack’s Mariposa Evenings - brought to you by The Mariposa County Arts Council and its many fine sponsors - presents, live, in concert, The Little Fuller Band on Friday, August 1, and J. J. Rymer on Saturday, August 2, 2014.

Little-Fuller-Band
The Little Fuller Band

The Little Fuller Band is a highly energetic and refreshing change of pace from your usual folk/string band, and will be making their debut appearance on the Art Park Stage. These young performers have a sound that combines influences of Americana, Bluegrass, Country, Folk, Gypsy, Punk, and Rock & Roll, with a focus on the heavily rhythmic use of tradition stringed instruments. Every song breathes with it’s own unique dynamic velocity, compounded by their natural magnetism and presence on stage; the powerful lyrics of their original songwritting features the strong vocals of Kelly Jane, coming in from San Francisco for the band’s performance at the Arts Park.

J.J.-Rymer
J. J. Rymer

Singer/songwriter J. J. Rymer, is no stranger to stages and venues all around Mariposa, including the Arts Park, where over the years he’s performed his original material with bands Paper Cup, The James Lee Cult Revival and The Tenderloins. The Orange County native has hundreds of songs in his catalogue, the best and most popular of which, he’ll be showcasing at the show. Backed up by a full band of old comrades coming up from Laguna Beach just for the occasion, Rymer’s songs and hard driving, live performances have been compared to vintage Springsteen and Mellencamp.

All performances begin at 7 p.m. at the Mariposa County Art Park, located on Hwy. 140, between 4th and 5th Streets, in historic downtown Mariposa, CA. Free parking on 5th Street along the Creek Walkway to the Park, also providing handicapped access.

The shows are free to the public – tips for the performers will be solicited, encouraged, and appreciated.

The Mariposa Arts Council, sponsor of Cousin Jack's Mariposa Evenings, is funded in part by Mariposa County, the California Arts Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts.

The MARIPOSA COUNTY ARTS COUNCIL, INC. is an incorporated not-for- profit organization, created to promote and support all forms of the cultural arts, for all ages, throughout Mariposa County.
