February 20, 2018 - Sierra Foothill Charter School teachers Erika Miranda, Teena Starchman, and Wendy Baumann recently received grant awards from Kids First for their spring mini grant requests. Ms. Miranda will be purchasing headsets with microphones for her fifth and sixth grade students. Ms. Starchman will purchase puppet theater supplies for her third and fourth graders to use as part of a service learning project. Mrs. Baumann will purchase books that integrate science standards at various reading levels for her first and second graders.

Kids First is a non-profit, volunteer organization formed to aid Mariposa County public school students by providing grants to teachers for supplemental funds for their classrooms.

Sierra Foothill Charter School is a free, non-profit, TK-8 public school. Open enrollment for the 2018-2019 school year is happening now through April 11.
