American Legion Post 567 Service Dog Fundraisers:
Gun Raffle And “Turkey” Shoot
April 9, 2018 - Mariposa’s Veterans of American Legion Post 567 are on a mission to provide Service Dogs to Veterans and you can help. The Post is in the process of holding a raffle for two guns, a Benelli 12 Gauge Super Nova Max 5 (Camo) and a S&W Shield 9mm. Tickets are $20 each for the chance to win one of the two guns.
Tickets can be purchased at Steve’s Sportsman Café, Stage Stop Gun Shop, Bootjack Rental and Feed or by contacting us at alpost567@earthlink.net , by calling Mick at (209) 966-8196 or Scott at (209) 966-7306 and we’ll get a ticket to you.
The drawing will be held Saturday, April 28th at 2:00 P.M. You don’t have to be present, but if you’d like to join us on the 28th, the Post along with the Mariposa Fish and Game are hosting a “Turkey” Shoot at the Mariposa Fish and Game Range, 4443 Old Highway.
Registration is from 9:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. and the Shoot runs from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Admission is $20 at the event; Cash or Check and each Stage is $2/each. You can enter any stage as many times as you want with the format being One Bulls eye and Three all Steel. Bring your own .22 rifle or pistol, any caliber, (no magnums) and lots of ammunition! Prizes are a 50/50 Split with The American Legion for each squad at each stage.
Bring your friends and family and have an open challenge for fun, and to benefit Veteran’s. Enjoy a great day of shooting and indulge in a great lunch of Chef Archie’s Pulled Pork Sandwich, sides and drink for a $10 donation.
