Changes made to Multiple Sclerosis Bike-A-Thon Route Due to Recent Flooding

April 19, 2018 - The Mariposa County 4-H Citizenship project is planning their 7th Annual Multiple Sclerosis Bike-a-Thon, being held on Sunday, April 29, 2018.  This event is open to the public, and all ages are invited to participate.  Again, this year, we are including Runners and Walkers.  Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. at Hornitos Park.  The course starts at Hornitos Park, at around 10:00 a.m., and travels down Hornitos Road to Indian Gulch Road then back to the finish at Hornitos Park, with a BBQ and Awards ceremony.  All proceeds are going to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Multiple Sclerosis is a serious progressive disease of the central nervous system, occurring mainly in young adults and thought to be caused by a malfunction of the immune system.  It leads to the loss of myelin in the brain or spinal cord and causes muscle weakness, poor eyesight, slow speech, and some inability to move.

Come enjoy a leisurely Run, Walk, or Ride through the beautiful foothills, visit our local establishments and experience the rich history and atmosphere of our historic towns.

Remember; mark your calendar for Run, Walk, or Bike-A-Thon, Sunday, April 29, 2018. For pledge forms and more information please call (209) 382-7062 or (209) 376-2320.
