June 8, 2018 - Beginning Friday, June 15, 2018, Sarah Coelho Webster, a local mom to three “wild and wonderful boys” ages one through five, will be hosting a book discussion group at the Oakhurst Branch Library for parents who desire to learn “the most loving and positive ways to raise their children.”

The group, scheduled from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. in the library’s Sue Rhu Children’s Reading Room, is the first of three meetings that will continue through July.  Subsequent dates for the discussion group will also be on Fridays and are scheduled for Friday, July 6 and Friday, July 20.

Joyful Courage

The Oakhurst Branch Library is located at 49044 Civic Circle Drive, Oakhurst.

Webster encourages participants to “come prepared” to discuss the one - hundredth episode of the Joyful Courage podcast by Dr. Tina Payne Bryson, co-author of The Whole-Brain Child. The podcast is available at JoyfulCourage.com/podcast/100.

Webster said all ages are welcome to attend the child-friendly book group which she also described as “guilt free.”

“That means if you haven’t read, or even partially read any of the books we’ll be discussing, but have parent-related issues to discuss, you are still welcome to attend,” said Webster who also has “six years of parental tips and tricks” under her belt to share.

The stay-at-home mom to Wesley, 5, Hank, 3, and Vincent, 1, said her family moved from Merced two years ago to live in the Oakhurst/Mariposa area for its “lovely trees and fresh air.”

The free discussion group is sponsored by the Friends of the Oakhurst Branch Library. For more information, call the library at (559) 683-4838 or visit oakhurstfobl.com.
