GA-Michael-ParentOn Thursday, March 12th, 2015 the Golden Agers will be hosting a special free performance by Storyteller, Michael Parent, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., at the Senior Center on Spriggs Lane.  This performance is primarily for the seniors in our community but all members of the public are invited to attend. 

Audiences of all ages enjoy Michael’s stories and great humor.  Michael is a native of Maine and is of French-Canadian descent.  He has performed as a storyteller and singer, in both English and French, throughout the United States and beyond since 1977 and has been featured at many events, including the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, Tennessee and international events in France, England, Ireland, Poland and New Zealand.  He performs for a wide range of audiences, including schools, libraries, theaters and festivals. 

Those attending this free performance are encouraged to stay for lunch.  The suggested donation for seniors is $4.00 and the fee for non-seniors is $6.00.  Please call ahead for lunch reservations at (209) 742-7182.  Following Michael’s performance at the Senior Center, he will be performing at the Mariposa Storytelling Festival.
