SFCS-studentDo you have wood chips, newspapers, cinder blocks, or metal mesh?

Erika Miranda’s 5th and 6th grade class at Sierra Foothill Charter School continue to enjoy weekly pottery sessions with artists Phyllis Becker and Tiffany Newberry as part of the Mariposa County Arts Council's wonderful Artists in the Schools Program. The artists and students plan to make a sawdust kiln so they can fire their pottery on campus. They are looking for donations of very thick sawdust or small wood chips, newspapers, small twigs, bricks or cinder blocks, and metal hardware mesh or cloth.

They are collecting these items through January. If you can donate any of these items, please bring them to the school office at 4952 School House Road in Catheys Valley or contact Erika Miranda at: erika@sierrafoothillcharterschool.org to make arrangements.

Sierra Foothill Charter School is a free, non-profit, K-8 public school. For more information, contact the office at (209) 742-6222 or visit SFCS’s website: sierrafoothillcharterschool.org.
