February 24, 2015 - Charles Phillips, 49, of Mariposa, has been reappointed to the 35a District Agricultural Association, Mariposa County Fair and Homecoming Board of Directors, where he has served since 2014.

Phillips has been an independent photographer since 1994. He was a maintenance worker for the San Benito High School District from 1999 to 2002 and park aide for the City of Salinas Parks and Community Services Department and the Monterey County Parks Department from 1990 to 1994. Phillips was an assistant ice maker and weight master at Maggio Farms from 1984 to 1988. He was a conservation aide for the National Park Service Youth Conservation Corps in 1982.

Phillips is a member of the Mariposa Butterfly Festival Board, Mariposa County Business Association, Mariposa Photography Club, National Geographic Society’s Sierra Nevada Wide Geocouncil and the Mariposa County Arts Council.

This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation.

Phillips is a Republican.
