Kids First Treasurer, Jetty Uebner (center), recently stopped by Sierra Foothill Charter School to award two teachers with Spring Mini Grant Awards. Teena Starchman (second from left) will be using the grant money to purchase sets of non-fiction books for reading groups. Brandon Kanarowski (second from right) will be using the funds to buy inquiry-driven learning toys for play-based centers that fit well with the Kindergarten Next Generation Science Standards for both Engineering Design and Forces and Interactions.
