Mariposa Soroptimists and members of MCHS Prom Faire Committee

Soroptimist International of Mariposa and the Mariposa County High School Associated Student Body are holding the Third Annual Prom Faire and Spa Day on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the New Life Christian Church, located at 5089 Cole Road.  

Young ladies attending a Prom will be able to view and select dresses from the Elegant Dress Closet at the event.  The organizers have collected more than 400 dresses, many coming from closets around Mariposa County, and others from a dress shop in Fresno that have never been worn.  The Elegant Dress Closet’s mission is “To provide an affordable and environmentally conscious way to give girls in Mariposa County a magnificent princess experience."

Dresses are grouped by size and style and dressing rooms are provided.  Shoppers will also be greeted by tables of snacks and refreshments, along with door prizes for professional skin, hair and nail treatments provided by local businesses.

Once a dress is selected, a deposit of $10 is held to use the chosen dress.  When the dress is brought back after prom, the students are refunded their $10 deposit.

This is a great opportunity for girls to find an awesome dress at an unbeatable price.  The Elegant Dress Closet offers dresses for every shape and size, and the event always provides a good time.
