March 4, 2015 by Nathan Hurst - House lawmakers debated an amendment to H.R. 749 offered by Representative Tom McClintock (R-CA) that would strip passenger rail concern Amtrak of all federal subsidies. The amendment was defeated, 272-147, and the bill passed as amended, 316-101.
