PetsMart Charities Grant:

In 2014, we were the recipient of a grant of $3,500 from PetsMart Charities to focus on humanely controlling Feral/free roaming cats populations in Mariposa.  We worked with the caregivers who feed and care for colonies to trap then transport the cats for spaying and neutering.  103 free roaming cats were spayed/neutered, received vaccinations against Rabies and were returned to their colonies where they will be cared for.  Kittens young enough to be socialized were taken into Catnip foster homes and when they were old enough to be spayed or neutered and vaccinated, became available for adoption.  Our thanks to Dr. Jay Mero and Animal Medical Center in Merced for working with us to provide quality medical care for our grant cats. 

Catnip Neuter Clinics:

We continue to hold neuter clinics for male cats on the first and third Wednesday each month in Mariposa.

The $25.00 fee includes Rabies vaccination.  Ferals are done free.  To sign your cat/s up for a clinic, or for more information call: 209-966-4780.  Once again, a big thank you to Dr. Mero for providing this very needed service.

Adoption Center:

Our Adoption Center at our main foster home is now open on Sundays -Tuesdays from 11a.m. – 2 p.m. at 5314 Hospital Road in Mariposa, just 1/2 mile up from JC Fremont Hospital.
