SFCS-muralCommunity volunteer Michelle Marco Oldson is working with Sierra Foothill Charter School students and Caroline Wenger Korn to restore the mural on the front of the school's multipurpose building. The mural was painted by Catheys Valley Elementary students many years ago and shows local points of historical interest. The first step is to gently sand away the peeling paint so that new paint will have a solid surface to stick to. Work on the mural will continue in the coming weeks.

Thanks very much to Michelle Marco Oldson for taking on this wonderful project. The mural means a lot to students and the community.
