Since the acquisition in June 2014, Verizon Wireless has been addressing network coverage and capacity needs in the former Golden State Cellular territory. The work has entailed upgrading cell sites and identifying areas that need added network infrastructure. Once the transition is complete, Verizon Wireless customers in the area will notice improved service and the network reliability Verizon is known for. The work will be ongoing in the area, as Verizon strives to improve coverage and add capacity and advanced services like 4G LTE and XLTE.
