Northern Mariposa County History Center Lecture Series #3

5-2-15-Spring-Lecture-smA Look Back at the Coulter Family

The third event in this year’s NMCHC Spring Lecture will be a presentation by Ed Wade on the Coulter Family.  Ed is a descendent of the family for which Coulterville was named and will share his family’s history with us.  It will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 at the IOOF, 5030 Main St. in Coulterville, Ca.

Be sure and Mark your calendar for June 13th… that’s right… the second Saturday, for a repeat presentation by Tim Erickson about the family’s cattle drive and history/future in this region.  This year it will take place at the Greeley Hill Community Club beginning at 3 p.m.

Treat Mom to Breakfast Out on Mother’s Day!

Whether you see your mom every morning or only rarely, give her the day off and show her how much you love and appreciate her by taking her to the Coulterville History Center’s Mothers Day Breakfast on Sunday, May 10th, 2015.  Both our special Mother’s Day omelets and the traditional pancake and egg breakfast will be available.

A choice of mouth watering omelets…Strawberry, Cheese, Ham or Veggie… or a combo of any two of the latter three, complete with pancakes and fresh fruit costs just $7.50.  Eggs cooked to order, all-you-can-eat pancakes, ham or sausage and fruit are a great value at just $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for children and $15.00 for a family of four (2 adults, 2 children).

The Old School House, at the corner of Cemetery St. and Broadway in Coulterville is easy to find, has ample parking and will be open from 8 to 11 a.m.  All moms will receive a flower to let them know how special they are.  There will be a special raffle as well for a watercolor painting of violets by local artist, Maryanna Kingman.
