SFC-WalkSierra Foothill Conservancy is sponsoring an educational walk on the Clark's Valley Conservation Easement with local Miwuk leader, Bill Leonard. Bill's knowledge comes from the teachings of his Miwuk elders, as well as years of traditional study. Hear his stories, learn traditional uses for our native plants, and enjoy the landscape of Clark's Valley. The walk takes place on Saturday, May 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The cost is $10 for members and $15 dollars for non-members.

A transition zone between the High Sierra and the Sierra foothills, Clark's Valley ranges in elevation from 3,000 to 4,200 feet! The landscape is dotted with oaks and meadows. There is a seasonal creek on the property.

Hikers are encouraged to bring a camera, water and a lunch.  Meet at the Mariposa Kiwanis Preschool parking lot on the corner of Darrah and Triangle Roads. Visit Sierra Foothill Conservancy's website to register, or call (209) 742-5556.
