June 26, 2015 - Late Thursday night, June 25, 2015 Madera County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to the 42000 block of Holiday Way in Yosemite Lakes Park for a report of gunshots being heard in the area. As the deputies were responding, Madera County Sheriff’s Dispatch received numerous additional calls of shots being fired in the area.

A house in the 30000 block of Stetson Drive was struck by bullets, the front window was shattered and a vehicle in the driveway was also struck by several bullets. There were two people inside the residence at the time; fortunately they were not struck by the gunfire. A witness reported that a white pickup with a camper shell was seen leaving the area at about the same time the shots were fired.

After more reports of shots being fired in the area of Stetson Drive and Corral Drive, deputies located a house on Stetson Drive and heard shots being fired from the garage area, a white pickup with a camper shell was in the driveway. Deputies saw two males firing a handgun and a shotgun out of the garage. The two suspects, who appeared to be intoxicated, were taken into custody without incident.

19 year old Nicholas Johnson and a 16 year old male juvenile were arrested for shooting at an inhabited dwelling and negligent discharge of a firearm.
