Cousin Jack’s Mariposa Evenings - brought to you by The Mariposa County Arts Council and its many fine sponsors – will complete its 2014 season, presenting, live, in concert, Before Perils on Friday, August 22, and Good Medicine on Saturday, August 23.
Before-Perils
Before Perils
Making their Mariposa Evenings debut on this final weekend of great music, Before Perils defy easy catagorization; their originality in the cross-fusion of Acoustic/Gypsy/Rock/Classical  music, performed with a refined energy makes them beautifully unique. The group includes Jon and Ben Napoles on Acoustic Guitars, Lianna Tao Hua Stewart on Violin, and Edson Lopez on Cajon and Percussion. Find out more about this exciting group by visiting: www.beforeperils.com or their Facebook page.
Good-Medicine-2
Good Medicine
Good Medicine was Cousin Jack’s favorite band and have played 22 of the 23 seasons of Mariposa Evenings. Their music has been described as “folk-a-delic”, mixing original songs and select covers, entertaining audiences from the foothills to the coast for more than twenty-five years. Frank and Debbie Sipes (the core duo) each have an impressive musical pedigree (more on their web-site) as performers and recording artists, and will be performing with their full band, including Mark Albosta on drums, Jeffrey Hallock on amplified harmonica and Mariposa Evenings Producer, Ronnie Sweeting, on guitar. Find out more about this group by visiting their Facebook page.

All performances begin at 7 p.m. at the Mariposa County Art Park, located on Hwy. 140, between 4th and 5th Streets, in historic downtown Mariposa, CA. Free parking on 5th Street along the Creek Walkway to the Park, also providing handicapped access.

The shows are free to the public – tips for the performers will be solicited, encouraged, and appreciated.

The Mariposa Arts Council, sponsor of Cousin Jack's Mariposa Evenings, is funded in part by Mariposa County, the California Arts Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
