Cal Fire is work with CAL OES for mutual aid to assist in defending structures
One Fire Fighter was injured and transported to an area hospital for evaluation.
Suburban Propane did NOT blow up. Only the office caught fire. Fire crews were able to combat flames before any more damage could occur.
Starting tomorrow CAL FIRE will have a landline set up in the Sheriff’s Command Center for the general public to call about fire information.

Updated Info regarding Evacuation Shelters
Shelter figures:
81 people in Coarsegold Community center Shelter along with 20 animals
Red Cross plans to open a second shelter at the YLP Community Church located on Patrick Avenue in Yosemite Lakes Park in Coarsegold – this shelter can hold up 150 (but no animals permitted at this shelter).
TRAFFIC ALERT:
All Traffic heading into and out of Yosemite National Park cannot access by Highway 41. You must use an alternate route.
Drivers can take Highway 140 through Mariposa to get in and out of park.
All Traffic heading in an out of Bass Lake cannot access by way of Highway 41. You must use an alternate route.
Drivers must take Road 200 (O’Neals Turnoff from Highway 41 near Coarsegold) to North Fork, then take 274 into Bass Lake
The WEST side of Bass Lake (where Roads 274 and 222 meet) is closed to traffic straight to Highway 41.

Update on Number of Evacuation Orders and Warnings as of 8:48 PM Pacific Time
Madera County Sheriff John Anderson has issued
EVACUATION ORDERS -- 13,000
EVACUATION WARNINGS -- 2,500
The 13,000 evacuation Orders remain in effect. Road closures posted earlier (Highway 41 at Road 426, Road 222 and Road 274, Highway 41 and 222) also remain in effect.

Update regarding Evacuation Shelter
Oakhurst Community Shelter is shutting down due its proximity the fire. The Madera County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services is now advising evacuees to go further south to Coarsegold where the American Red Cross has set up shelter at the Coarsegold Community Center on Highway 41.

This is a mandatory evacuation order for the residents in the area of Road 222 and Highway 41, the fire is coming in your direction. Please evacuate to the Oakhurst Community Center using the following route. East on Road 222 to Road 426 use Road 426 into the Oakhurst Area.

Fire has jumped Highway 41 and heading toward Hidden Falls, located in the area of Road 222 and Highway 41.
1,562 Evacuation notices have been issued – for residents who live in that area, you must take Road 222 to Road 426 to evacuate the area and head to the American Red Cross Evacuation Shelter located at the Oakhurst Community Center on Road 425B

Evacuation Alerts have been issued to residents who live on Road 425A. Addtional Evacation notices have also been issued to residents who live on Road 620 and Hodges Hill.
All evacuees are instructed to go to Oakhurst Community Center located on Road 425B. American Ed Cross has sat shelter at that location.

The fire is now moving north toward Road 620.
The Sheriff's Office has requested mutual aid from Mariposa County Sheriff's Office to assist with evacuations.

BRUSH FIRE IN OAKHURST – MULTI STRUCTURES THREATENED
Madera County – The Madera County Sheriff’s Office just issued an emergency alert to nearly 3,000 homes that are located in the area of Road 425A in Oakhurst, due to a brush fire.
All residents living in that vicinity have been advised to evacuate to the Oakhurst Community Center located on 425B.
425A will only be open to fire equipment crews so they can battle the blaze.
