Cousin Jack’s Mariposa Evenings - brought to you by The Mariposa County Arts Council and it’s many fine sponsors – continues on into the summer, presenting Soul Galaxy on Saturday, July 4th. On Friday, July 3rd, The Mariposa Symphony Orchestra will present “An Independance Day Spectacular” at the Mariposa County Amphitheater ('Click' here for more information).

There will be NO Mariposa Evenings concert at the Art Park on Friday, music will be at the Amphitheater.  Soul GalaxySoul Galaxy

Soul Galaxy has, over the last two years, performed as a sextet, quintet, quartet and trio, but always with the same nucleus of Northern California guitar phenom Tim Hagar and Los Angeles session percussionist Jon Kidd. This special 4th of July performance will be as a powerful trio, including master musician, Kyle Morrison on bass. The music will range from acoustic based, ethereal baroque rock, to energized electric blues and jazz, that will include Hagar’s Hendrix-style rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner” just for the occasion. Read and hear more of this dynamic combo at: www.soulgalaxy.net.

All performances begin at 7 p.m. at the Mariposa County Art Park, located on Hwy. 140, between 4th and 5th Streets, in historic downtown Mariposa, CA. Free parking on 5th Street along the Creek Walkway to the Park, also providing handicapped access.

The shows are free to the public – tips for the performers will be solicited, encouraged, and appreciated.

The Mariposa Arts Council, sponsor of Cousin Jack's Mariposa Evenings, is funded in part by Mariposa County, the California Arts Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
