August 19, 2014 - On Tuesday morning, August 19, 2014 at 9:35 A.M. EMS Personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Whitlock Road and Crystal Aire Drive in Mariposa County for a traffic collision.

Michelle Linn,18, of Mariposa driving a 2002 Subaru south on Whitlock Road steered her vehicle in an unsafe manner, as she came around a curve, to avoid a deer and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle struck an inclined embankment and overturned partially blocking Whitlock Road. Michelle Linn was able to exit the vehicle and was transported to John C. Fremont with minor injuries.

The CHP is reminding everyone to drive at a safe and prudent speed for the roadway.
"You just never know what is waiting for you around each curve" said CHP Sergeant Chris Michael.

Officer S. Lewis is investigating this collision to its conclusion.
