August 29, 2015 - CAL FIRE reports this morning 6,300 firefighters remain on the lines battling 13 active wildfires. Crews made significant progress over the past couple of days and have contained two of the large fires.
A Red Flag Warning is in effect for the Lake Tahoe area and extends southward to the Mono county line for high winds. Most of California will experience cooler weather over the weekend, along with an increase in humidity.
Even though the weather is cooler and you may have even received some rain, the fire danger is still high. Stay vigilant and be safe when outdoors. For tips on how to be fire safe, visit www.ReadyForWildfire.org.
