old farmers almanac winter 2016 map

August 31, 2015 - The winter weather forecast? The 2016 Old Farmer’s Almanac says that a super cold winter is on tap for much of the country, especially along most of the Atlantic seaboard and in the Ohio Valley, Great Lakes, Pacific Northwest, and southwestern states. The Northeast, Ohio Valley, northern Plains, and Pacific Northwest should brace for a slew of snow. “Super cold is coming,” says Janice Stillman, the Almanac’s editor, “but the good news is that areas with record-shattering snow last winter—like Boston— won’t have to deal with quite so many flakes.”

And the Old Farmer's Almanac should know: Its 2015 predictions of a bleak and biting winter scored a stunning accuracy of 96.3 percent! Stillman adds: “All in all, this coming winter will be a good one for snuggling up next to old farmers almanac 2016 coverthe fire with a good book!”

Weather information and much more can be found in the 2016 Old Farmer’s Almanac.

First published by Robert B. Thomas in 1792 the Old Farmer’s Almanac has been a beacon of hope and heart. The first edition sold 3,000 copies and cost about 9 cents. Today the Almanac sells millions of copies and costs $6.99. The Old Farmer’s Almanac is produced by Yankee Publishing Inc. in Dublin, New Hampshire.
