September 2, 2015 - EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. - Effective Tuesday, Sept. 8, the Bureau of Land Management Mother Lode Field Office will close the Merced River Recreation Area while the Briceburg suspension bridge is painted.
The closure is expected to last until about Dec. 7. During the closure, the Briceburg entrance will be barricaded and a gate will be installed on Bull Creek Road about 4.5 miles north of the Merced River.
