October 1, 2015 - This historic ceremony will take place on Thursday, October 1, from 11:00 A.M. to Noon in front of the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center.
Honorary 125th Anniversary Chairman, Ranger Gabriel Lavan-Ying, will join park Superintendent Don Neubacher, in leading the celebration.
Ceremony highlights include vintage Yosemite Music from Tom Bopp, an appearance by John Muir (portrayed by Lee Stetson), the Yosemite Mounted Patrol, and students from the Yosemite area and the Central Valley.
The Fourth grade students from throughout the Central Valley will receive free Yosemite National Park passes through the Every Kid in a Park program.
Special activities include a free, commemorative poster to those in attendance, anniversary cakes, and an opportunity to bring a memento for a time capsule.
