California native plants are a wonderful solution to a beautiful drought tolerant garden, encouraging pollinators to visit your yard, and providing habitat, and nutrition for wildlife of all varieties. California native plants will be available for purchase on Saturday, October 31, 2015 from 8 a.m. - 12 noon at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds Agricultural Building located at 5009 Fairgrounds Road in Mariposa.

You will find a variety of flowering plants and shrubs that will keep color in your garden from early spring to late fall. Most of the plants are drought tolerant once established and deer resistant! Did you miss out on the seeds that you wanted last year? This is the perfect time of year to plant seeds, and just wait for the spring when they emerge.  We will also have seeds available for purchase. You will find Narrow Leaf Milk Weed seeds (1/4 oz. bag $13 ea.) and Showy Leaf Milk Weed Seed (1/4 oz. bag $8 ea.) which encourage the sustainability of the Monarch butterfly, California Poppy seeds (1/2 lb. bag $14 ea.), and wildflower mix (1/2 lb. bag $20 ea.) which encourage pollinators to thrive, all while providing a pleasing array of color and fragrance.
