When officers arrived they located a Hispanic male in his 20’s deceased on the side of the road.
It appeared the deceased had been lying off the side of the road for several hours before a passerby saw him and called the police.
During the investigation officers were able to possibly identify the responsible vehicle as a silver Ford car.
The investigation is ongoing and the name of the deceased is being withheld until the next of kin can be notified.
The Merced Police Department is looking for a 1989-1993 Silver or Grey Ford Thunderbird 2 door Super Coupe in connection to this fatality. The vehicle should have severe damage to the right front.
