It was a crisp clear evening on Saturday, December 15, 2012 during the Mariposa Lions Club Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and bonfire. Everyone gathered together by the Mariposa Courthouse for this fun Mariposa tradition. Santa & Mrs. Claus arrived on a fire truck to the delight of the crowd. Santa listened to all the children tell him what they wanted for Christmas. After telling Santa their wishes the children said hello to Mrs. Claus as she handed out candy canes and books to all the good little boys & girls.












Soon after visiting with Mr. & Mrs. Claus families gathered together to visit with friends and neighbors while some even enjoyed free hotdogs, popcorn and hot coco in front of the bonfire. Some of the children ran around playing and even enjoyed exploring the fire truck before heading home for the night. The Mariposa Lions Club wished everyone a Merry Christmas.
