June 27, 2014 - During the afternoon of June 26, 2014 detectives from the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at a parcel located on Wild Horse Lane, located about 15 miles south of the town of Mariposa.
The search warrant was related to an illegal marijuana investigation. Detectives located and collected 757 marijuana plants being cultivated at the site.
Two adult males, Sokdy Siphongsay, 30, of Fresno and Sakda Bounthirath, 31, also of Fresno were arrested at the Wild Horse Lane parcel for the illegal cultivation of marijuana, marijuana for sale and conspiracy.
Both men are currently held at the Mariposa County Adult Detention Facility on $100,000.00 bail.
In addition to the local felony charges, Sakda Bounthirath is also held on a Fresno County Superior Court warrant for DUI.
