MAX movieVisit the Mariposa County Library on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 for their annual Valentine’s Day story hour and Valentine’s party with free refreshments added to the mix.

Movies for tweens and teens are offered on the second Wednesday of the month at 3 p.m.  On Wednesday, February 10, the feature film is “Max,” a 2015 movie about a U.S. military service dog who is returned to the States after being traumatized by the death of his handler, Kyle WIncott. The Wincotts adopt Max but the road to friendship is a bumpy one.

The good times continue on Wednesday, February 17 when “Shaun the Sheep” will be shorn, or rather, shown at 3 p.m. Ewe will laugh out loud watching the hero of this delightful animated film  trying to lead his flock home from the “Big City” to the safety of the farm. To keep the munchies at bay, a free bag of popcorn is included for all movie goers.


Story hour is offered every Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the library.  Movies are held on the second and third Wednesday of the month at 3 p.m.
