This is a reminder that the Call to Artists for the 14th Annual Sierra Art Trails Open Studio Tour is underway. Deadline for enrty is May 1st.

The exhibit is the largest art event in our area, showcasing over 100 artists working in a wide range of media, encompassing more than a dozen communities in Madera and Mariposa counties.

Cost of participation is $135, with a $25 non-refundable jury fee and $110 participation fee due upon acceptance into the exhibit.

We are excited to announce that in addition to our annual Preview Exhibit at Stellar Gallery in September, KJWL radio will be hosting another Sierra Art Trails Preview at the Jewel FM Gallery in Fresno during the month of August with a reception on Thursday, August 4th, 2016.

Now in its 14th year, Sierra Art Trails has earned a reputation for excellence, and is highly anticipated by repeat visitors and art collectors. The show attracts art buyers from throughout California and beyond. 

Participating artists are featured in the tour catalog, included in a month-long Preview Exhibit, and benefit from an extensive advertising campaign promoting the event.

By participating you not only promote your own work, you also support your community by making it a place people look forward to visiting! 

Our 2016 sponsors include Valley PBS, Visit Yosemite Madera County, KJWL radio, Sierra Telephone, and many other businesses, organizations, and individuals that offer their support or participate in the event.

Our 2016 marketing campaign includes print coverage on Valley PBS television, radio advertising on KJWL, KYNO, KFCF, and KVPR, Web coverage on Sierra News Online, Sierra Sun Times, and on Facebook. Our annual brochure is mailed out to hundreds of potential visitors. Brochures and invitation postcards will be distributed to participating artists at the All Artists Meeting in August.
