April 27, 2016 - The Madera County Sheriff Department reports on Monday, April 25, 2016, Madera County Sheriff’s Office Deputies executed two search warrants in the 48000 Block of Road 620 in Oakhurst.
Deputies located two residences on the property that were fully converted for indoor marijuana cultivation. Deputies seized 2,396 budding marijuana plants, one firearm, and over $900.00 in US Currency from the residences.
Deputies arrested 56 year old Wei Jian Xu of Oakland for Cultivation of marijuana and possession of marijuana for sale.
County Building Inspectors and Code Enforcement Officers found the residences uninhabitable and posted notices on the residence due to faulty wiring and illegal building conditions.
Deputies located black mold in the residence, which is extremely harmful to humans, they also found a large amount of waste from the indoor cultivation operation disposed of near a natural creek on the property.
