That’s because 10 trout with golden tags have been planted in Lakes McClure and McSwain. That’s five fish in each lake. Hook one of these Gold Tagged Trout and $250 is yours. If that’s not enough, you could receive another $100 for video recording the catch as its brought ashore or into your boat.
Anglers who fetch a gold-tagged trout will be listed on the MID Parks website and Facebook pages. Updates will be provided on the number of fish caught and the number of fish still waiting to be caught.
All winners must have a valid California Fishing License in their possession. (Children 15 and under do not require a fishing license.)
Prize awards will be paid by check within 30 days of a validated catch.
